The company, which connects Canada-based Alliance Pipeline Limited Partnership and US-based Alliance Pipeline L.P., operates 2,310 miles of natural gas pipeline. The pipeline links northeastern British Columbia and northwestern Alberta to the Chicago area and serves the midwestern US and eastern Canadian markets. Its system is capable of moving more than 1.3 billion cu. ft. of natural gas per day. Major oil and gas producers created the company in 1996 to handle increasing gas production from Canada. Enbridge and Fort Chicago Energy Partners own the joint venture.
