Company Description

From the bathroom to the kitchen to the laundry room, Alberto-Culver has you covered. The company makes a variety of products for hair care (Nexxus, TRESemmé), skin care (St. Ives, Simple, Noxzema), and personal care (FDS). It also produces and markets sweeteners and seasonings (Sugar Twin, Mrs. Dash) and laundry care items (Static Guard). The company offers private label manufacturing of beauty products, too, for other US companies under their own labels. Alberto-Culver has operations in North America, the UK, South Africa, Argentina, and Australasia, and its products are marketed in more than 100 countries. In mid-2011 consumer products giant Unilever acquired Alberto-Culver for $3.7 billion in cash.
