Company Description

Established in 1956, Airex (formerly Alcan Airex) is a Switzerland-based specialty foam manufacturer. Along with Baltek, Airex is part of 3A Composites, a division of Schweiter Technologies. Airex produces specialty foams made from a variety of polymers. It offers FOREX foam sheets for the display and signage markets; AIREX flexible foams for exercise and buoyancy products; and structural core materials for aerospace, road, rail, and wind energy applications under the AIREX and BALTEK brands. Airex owns and operates two facilities in Switzerland. Europe accounts for the vast majority (around 70%) of the company's sales.
