Olmsted Medical Center
Overview
While the Mayo Clinic gets more press time, neighboring Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) is no slouch in clinical research and provides general medical and surgical care to the Rochester, Minnesota, area. The center also partners with regional schools to provide medical, nursing, and technical training. Specialty services include pediatrics, neurology, occupational medicine, and orthopedics. In addition to its hospital and urgent care center, Olmsted Medical Center also operates a main clinic and several branch clinics in the region. Olmsted Medical Center was formed from the merging of Olmsted Community Hospital and Olmsted Medical Group in 1996.
