Odfjell Company Description
Odfjell provides marine transportation and storage of chemicals and other specialty liquids. Along with Stolt-Nielsen, the company is one of the world's leading marine transporters of chemicals. Odfjell's fleet consists of more than 90 parcel tankers -- vessels with multiple compartments -- with an overall capacity of some 2.4 million deadweight tons (DWT). Tanker operations account for more than 85% of the company's sales. In addition, Odjfell owns stakes in tank terminals in China, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, and the US; through affiliates it has interests in terminals in South America and in Canada. Odfjell sold its tank container operations to joint-venture partner Hoyer in 2005.
