NYCE thinks it's nice when you use your debit card not once, but twice (or thrice!). NYCE Payments Network operates a network of 280,000 ATMs serving around 90 million cardholders. The company also performs electronic funds transfer, debit card processing and authorization, and point-of-sale transaction processing at more than 1.75 million locations. A subsidiary of Metavante (which bought NYCE from First Data in 2004), NYCE Corporation changed its name to NYCE Payments Network in 2006, corresponding with a renewed focus on its network operations. Metavante was spun off from regional bank Marshall & Ilsley in 2007.
