North Pacific Group Company Description
Paneling, poles, planks, pilings, and all, North Pacific Group (NOR PAC) is building on the construction industry. The firm is one of North America's largest wholesale distributors of building materials. Employee-owned since the 1986 retirement of its founder, Doug David, NOR PAC distributes wood, steel, agricultural, and food products from 30-plus locations. Wood products, which make up the majority of its business, include lumber, millwork, poles, and logs. NOR PAC sells its products to furniture makers, retailers, and metal fabricators. Though the company is part of an industry often at odds with environmentalists, it has made commitments to sustainable forestry practices. David founded NOR PAC in 1948.
