Overview
Safety is a top priority of Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The independent foundation offers certification, consulting, and risk management services to customers in the transportation and petrochemical industries through its network of some 300 offices in about 100 countries. DNV is a leading ship classification society for the maritime industry and a provider of maritime fuel management and testing services. It also offers certification and verification services to clients in process industries such as petrochemicals, along with management consulting and IT services. Established in 1864, the foundation is governed by a council made up of employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
