Norfolk Southern Railway is the main subsidiary of North American transportation provider Norfolk Southern. The rail company operates approximately 20,000 route miles in 22 states in the eastern, southeastern, and midwestern US. It serves every major container port in the eastern US and also transports freight via interchange with other rail carriers to and from the rest of the country.
