Overview
Being square is no insult for box-maker Norampac Avot-Vallée. The company manufactures volumes of containerboard, boxboard, and corrugated products. To do so, it operates 26 corrugated products plants, seven containerboard mills, three boxboard mills, and five folding carton plants. A graphic center and an innovation center also offer design services and an array of paper options. Its facilities in Canada, the US, and France, churn out products for the food, wine and spirits, and consumer goods industry. Norampac debuted in 1997 when Cascades and Domtar joined their containerboard and corrugated products businesses. Cascades sold Norampac to sell OpenGate Capital, a private equity firm, in early 2011.
