The company manufactures airbags, engine components, instrument panels, interior trim parts, steering wheels, and other automobile parts that are always in demand by major auto manufacturers, including Honda and Nissan. Nihon Plast, which operates through nearly 10 subsidiaries in five countries, also makes electrical components used in gaming machines, synthetic resins, chemicals, and packaging used for shipping machines. The company's sales are nearly equally divided between its home country of Japan and the US. Honda, which has been purchasing auto products from the company since 1968, owns about 20% of Nihon Plast.
