New Orleans Saints Company Description
Football fans cheer when these Saints go marching in. The New Orleans Saints football franchise joined the National Football League on All Saints' Day in 1966 but claims no league championships and only one playoff victory (2000). The team and its fans have had to endure further heartache after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005. The disaster forced the team to play its home games in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and San Antonio that season; it moved back into the Superdome for the 2006 season. Owner Tom Benson, who built an auto dealership empire, bought the team in 1985 from original owner John Mecom.
