Neste Oil goes for the black gold in Finland. The international oil company was founded shortly after World War II to ensure a steady oil supply for the country. The state-controlled firm focuses on refining, marketing, and shipping oil products, including gasoline, biodiesel fuel, and lubricants. Neste Oil primarily sells its products domestically, but also exports to customers in North America and Europe. It operates about 1,170 gas stations in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Northwest Russia. The company also has a biodiesel plant, as well as a diesel production line. The Finnish government owns about half of Neste Oil.
