Overview

Boston sports fans tune into this network to catch their favorite teams. New England Sports Network operates NESN, a leading regional sports channel that reaches more than 4 million homes in six states through cable and satellite TV providers. The network offers news and information covering national and regional sports, as well as game coverage of the Boston Red Sox baseball team and Boston Bruins hockey team. (The Sox own 80% of NESN, while the Bruins have a 20% stake.) In addition to television, NESN distributes news and video through its popular sports website. The network was launched in 1984.
