Overview
Tenedora Nemak makes your engine run. Nemak produces aluminum cylinder heads and engine blocks that the automobile industry uses to build internal combustion engines. Annually, Nemak produces nearly 20 million units, making it the largest aluminum automotive component foundry in the world. The growing need for more lightweight, fuel-efficient vehicles has boosted the demand for these aluminum (versus the more traditional cast iron) products. Key customers of the parts maker include Ford, GM, Jaguar, Opel, Renault, and Vauxhal. Nemak is a subsidiary of Mexico-based conglomerate Alfa.
