Overview

Navarre's software transforms home computers into Las Vegas casinos, golf courses, game show studios, classrooms, and other fun and educational diversions. The company distributes home entertainment and multimedia software products to more than 19,000 major retailers (including Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Staples), online merchants (iTunes), and wholesalers throughout North America. Its publishing segment is run through its Encore Softwaresubsidiary, which provides print, education, and family entertainment under such titles as Print Shop, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, Hoyle PC Gaming and H&R Block. Founded in 1983 as an entertainment distributor, Navarre has diversified into a licenser and publisher of entertainment.
