Overview
Nautica sails the deep blue seas to provide classic American apparel. Owned by brand giant V.F. Corporation, the upscale clothier designs, makes, and retails men's sportswear, outerwear, underwear, swimwear, and sleepwear. It also licenses the Nautica name for apparel and accessories. The company plucked women's wear from its wholesale offerings in 2008 to focus on its men's lineup and e-commerce operations; however, it still sells women's sportswear and sleepwear through Nautica.com and in select Nautica outlet stores. V.F. operates about 100 Nautica stores in outlet malls across the US; namesake items are also sold internationally through more than 150 stores run by independent licensees.
