Overview

National Grid USA's five utility subsidiaries deliver electricity to 3.3 million customers in a 29,000-sq.-mi. service area in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. It transmits electricity across 9,000 miles of high-voltage lines in New England and New York. The company is also the region's largest distributor of natural gas with some 3.4 million customers. National Grid USA is a subsidiary of UK-based electricity and gas transmission company National Grid (formerly National Grid Transco).
