Namco Limited Company Description
If you ever played hooky and hung out in the arcade, you know the name Namco. The company that brought the world the original Pac-Man, Namco now is part of Namco Bandai, after being acquired by toymaker Bandai (of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fame) in 2005. Following the acquisition, the parent company reorganized many of its operating divisions, including Namco. Namco now focuses on running the company's arcades and amusement facilities, which make up about 20% of its parent company's sales. Several of Namco's previous operations, including its home videogame software business, have been transferred to other units within Namco Bandai.
