Mullen Group has mulled over its future and has decided it is about oil field services and trucking. Its oil field services unit moves overweight and oversized equipment, such as drilling rigs, for the oil and gas industry in Western Canada. It also transports heavy oil and offers drilling, production, and pipeline services. Mullen's trucking unit provides truckload and less-than-truckload (LTL) freight transportation in Canada, Mexico, and the US. (Mullen has acquired more than 20 companies since 2002, including its nearly $1 billion purchase of Producers Oilfield Services.
