MRS Logistica Company Description
MRS Logística has been workin' on the railroad for more than a decade, now. One of the largest railway companies in Brazil, MRS Logística runs the Southeastern Federal Railroad Network, connecting the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo, an area that encompasses some 65% of the country's gross domestic product. Annually, MRS Logistica transports more than 100 million tons of general rail cargo such as ore, steel, cement, coke, containers, and agricultural products. The company also provides logistics services. MRS Logistica is currently expanding its equipment and track; it plans to have 500 locomotives and 16,000 cars in its fleet by 2010.
