Movado Group Company Description
Movado Group knows that time is of the essence. The group's nine watch brands -- Movado, Concord, and Ebel, as well as the licensed ESQ, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, and Hugo Boss lines -- are sold worldwide and cover most watch industry categories. Most of its watches start at $100, but can reach $10,000 for exclusive designs. Movado sells watches to major jewelry store and department store chains (mainly Macy's, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue), as well as to independent jewelers (Helzberg, Sterling, and Zales). Its own retail chain consists of about 30 boutiques and 32 outlets. The family of the late Gerry Grinberg, who founded Movado, controls about 70% of the company's voting power.
