Molinos Company Description

Molinos Rio de la Plata is the gold medalist of Argentina's food companies. Molinos is Argentina's largest and oldest packaged food company. It has operations in such sectors as edible oils, flour, frozen foods, and pasta. Its products, sold in some 50 countries, include Blancaflor flour, Cocinero oil, Granja del Sol frozen foods, and Matarazzo pasta. Molinos acquired food company Lucchetti Argentina in 2001. Argentina's richest family, the Perez Compancs, which bought a controlling stake in Molinos from Brazilian grain and oil giant Bunge International in 1999, owns more than 60% of the company.
