Overview
Molex makes mountains out of connections. The company is one of the world's largest makers of plugs and other electrical connectors. It makes more than 100,000 kinds of electronic, electrical, and fiber-optic connectors and switches. Its miniature plugs, jacks, and other complex connectors are used in a wide variety of products, including automobiles, computers, consumer electronics, home appliances, industrial machinery, and telecommunications equipment. Molex sells directly to manufacturers, including Cisco, Dell, Ford, General Motors, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Motorola, Nokia, and Panasonic. Asian customers, primarily in China and Japan, account for more than half of sales.
