Milwaukee Bucks Company Description
A herd of basketball fans gather around these Bucks. The Milwaukee Bucks professional basketball franchise joined the National Basketball Association in 1968 and earned a championship title just three years later with the help of Hall of Fame player Lew Alcindor (later Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). The team has made the NBA Finals only once since then (in 1974), but has generally been a contender for the postseason in recent years. Despite the Bucks' success on the court, the club has struggled with attendance at Milwaukee's aging Bradley Center. Wisconsin Senator Herb Kohl, whose family started the Kohl's department store chain, has owned the team since 1985.
