Midwest Air Company Description
Midwest Air Group aims to run a champagne airline in beer country. From hubs in Milwaukee and Kansas City, the company's Midwest Airlines serves major US business centers and leisure destinations. It operates a fleet of about 10 Boeing 717s and promotes such perks as wide leather seats and fresh-baked, chocolate chip cookies. With regional affiliate Midwest Connect, Midwest Airlines serves about 30 destinations, largely in the upper Midwest. Midwest also hauls cargo, offers charter flights, and provides ground-based airport services. Founded in 1984, Midwest was acquired by Republic Airways Holdings in July 2009.
