MGA Entertainment Company Description
Move over Bratz, the Moxie Girlz are movin' in. Toy and doll maker MGA Entertainment, which is engaged in an epic legal battle with archrival Mattel over its marquee product -- the Bratz line of fashion dolls -- is banking on its new Moxie Girlz line of dolls for future sales. The company owns Little Tikes -- maker of the iconic Cozy Coupe -- and also makes proprietary and licensed baby dolls (Baby born and Baby Chou Chou) and the plush Rescue Pets collection. CEO Isaac Larian helped found a company called ABC Electronics in 1982, which changed its name to Micro Games of America in the late 1980s, then shortened it to MGA when it shifted from electronic games to dolls in the late 1990s.
