It owns or has interests in some 55 projects, totaling 80 acres of land. Its commercial properties house tenants in the food processing, wholesaling, and cold storage industries. Its downtown residential properties are typically developed near clusters of entertainment, cultural, and sports venues. CEO Richard Meruelo owns about 45% of the firm. President John Maddux owns 5%.
