Made with aspartame, the Canderel and Equal brands of tabletop sweeteners account for 85% of the company's sales. Merisant's customers include retail grocery stores, pharmacies, food wholesalers, and foodservice distributors and operators. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2009.
