Memphis Grizzlies Company Description

The sweetest honey for these Grizzlies is an NBA championship. The Memphis Grizzlies professional basketball team joined the National Basketball Association as an expansion team in 1995. Originally located in Vancouver and controlled by Arthur Griffiths (who also owned the Vancouver Canucks hockey franchise), the team formed the new Canadian wing of the league along with the Toronto Raptors. The franchise was acquired by Chicago billionaire Michael Heisley in 2000 and relocated to Tennessee the following year. Fans have been filling more seats at home games due to the Grizzlies recent success in reaching the playoffs and the opening of the FedExForum in 2004.
