The Web matchmaker is established in 15 European countries and Latin America, and is available in a dozen languages. Its sites are similar to US dating sites such as Match.com -- members join for free, post their profiles, and browse other member profiles; they are charged a fee to contact other members. Since its launch in 2001, some 28 million profiles have been registered with Meetic. The company was founded by CEO Marc Simoncini.
