Overview
A day on the water for you is a day at the office for Marine Products. The company builds recreational powerboats, mainly though its Chaparral subsidiary. Its lineup includes fiberglass sterndrive and inboard deckboats, cruisers, and sport yachts, ranging from 18 feet to 42 feet. Marine Products also makes a line of freshwater/saltwater sport fishing boats, known for their "unsinkable hull," through subsidiary Robalo. Boats are sold to a network of about 200 independent dealers, who then sell the lines to retail customers. The US generates almost 70% of the company's sales. Chairman R. Randall Rollins, his family, and companies owned by them (Rollins, which owns Orkin), control more than 50% of Marine Products.
