Overview
Automakers have been clutching LuK products for more than half a century. LuK GmbH (which stands for Lamellen und Kupplungsbau, or disc and clutch makers) manufactures clutches, if that wasn't obvious, as well as other drive train and transmission parts, including accessory drives, camshaft phasing units, primary drives, torque converters, and valve trains. The Bühl-based subsidiary of the Schaeffler Group has manufacturing facilities in more than 20 countries, including the US, where it operates under the name LuK USA. LuK also works collaboratively with fellow subsidiary FAG on the development and production of chassis systems.
