Los Angeles Clippers Company Description

Forget about tall ships, this team is interested in tall centers. LAC Basketball Club owns and operates the Los Angeles Clippers professional basketball franchise. The team joined the National Basketball Association in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves before moving west in 1978. Known as the San Diego Clippers, the team relocated to Los Angeles in 1984 and now plays host at the Staples Center with its division rival Los Angeles Lakers. Fans have yet to see the Clippers earn an NBA title or an NBA Finals appearance. Real estate magnate Donald Sterling has owned the franchise since 1981.
