Lionsgate Company Description
Independent films are the cat's meow at Lions Gate Entertainment. The firm, which operates as Lionsgate, is the leading producer and distributor of independent films -- such as Academy Award winner Juno and romantic comedy Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist -- through its Mandate Pictures division. It produces TV programming (including Nurse Jackie for Showtime Networks) through Lionsgate Television. Lionsgate also releases films under the Trimark brand and owns a library of more than 8,000 movie titles. In addition, it owns production studio Roadside Attractions.
