Overview

Liquid resources are big assets at Lindsay Corp. The company designs and manufactures irrigation systems primarily for agricultural use. Its self-propelled center-pivot and lateral-move lineup is designed to use water, energy, and labor more efficiently than traditional flood or surface irrigation. Touting better to bumper crop yields, a global dealer network sells the Zimmatic brand irrigation systems to farmers in more than 90 countries. (The US accounts for about two-thirds of sales.) Lindsay also plies water pumping stations (through subsidiary Watertronics), as well as replacement parts. Movable barriers for traffic control and crash cushions for road safety are made by an infrastructure division, too.
