Holding company Leucadia National owns stakes in firms involved in manufacturing, medical products, gaming, and oil and gas drilling. The investment firm typically seeks out troubled companies that it believes are undervalued; holdings include Idaho Timber, Conwed Plastics, oil and gas drilling company Keen Energy Services (formerly Goober Drilling), and medical products firm Sangart, which is developing blood transfusion technology. Leucadia also owns more than a quarter of investment bank Jefferies Group. It has interests in US real estate, automobile dealerships, and clean energy projects as well.
