Lennar is one of the largest homebuilding, land-owning, loan-making leviathans in the US, along with D.R. Horton and Pulte Homes. The company primarily builds single-family attached and detached homes in 16 states under brand names including Lennar, Cambridge, NuHome, and Greystone. Lennar targets first-time, move-up, and active adult buyers and markets its homes as "everything included." The company also provides financial services including mortgage financing, title, and closing services. In fiscal 2008 Lennar delivered some 16,000 homes at an average price of $270,000 -- a steep drop from the 33,000 homes delivered the previous year. CEO Stuart Miller controls 47% of the company.
