Nearly a century old, Lane Furniture Industries is a furniture maker, specializing in 18th-century reproductions and cedar chests. Its Lane home furnishings are sold nationwide through specialty retailers (such as Haverty's), as well as department stores (including Dillard's and J. C. Penney). Lane Furniture was established in 1912 when John Lane and his son Ed began a chest-manufacturing venture (incorporated as Standard Red Cedar Chest Company).
