Kuala Lumpur Kepong holds a 22% stake in UK-based Yule Catto, which makes specialty chemicals such as dyes and fragrances. Kuala Lumpur Kepong also manufactures rubber gloves, processes cocoa, and engages in property development. In 2008 the company sold a 60% interest in its cocoa operations (KLK Cocoa) to Barry Callebaut. Holding company Batu Kawan owns approximately 45% of Kuala Lumpur Kepong.
