Kuala Lumpur Kepong also manufactures rubber gloves, processes cocoa, and engages in property development. In 2008 the company sold a 60% interest in its cocoa operations (KLK Cocoa) to Barry Callebaut. Holding company Batu Kawan owns approximately 45% of Kuala Lumpur Kepong.
