Overview

Klaussner Furniture Industries makes accoutrements for the American dream, a home. Among the largest makers of furniture in the US, Klaussner sells fabric- and leather-upholstered sofas and recliners, chairs, ottomans, occasional tables, home entertainment, and dining furniture under the Distinctions and Klaussner name brands. Its licensed brands include Sealy and Dick Idol. The furniture firm boasts manufacturing and distribution facilities in North Carolina and Iowa, as well as a handful of licensed Klaussner home stores and about 150 Klaussner Home Furnishings Galleries. Founded in 1964 as Stuart Furniture Industries, chairman Hans Klaussner has owned the company since 1979.
