It also licenses its cartoon characters and sells merchandise based on those characters. The company's distribution brings more than 150 features, including famous strips such as Popeye, Dennis the Menace, Family Circus, Blondie, Sally Forth, Hagar the Horrible, and Hi and Lois to some 5,000 newspapers worldwide. Syndicated columns include advice, horoscopes, housekeeping tips, travel, and health. King Features Syndicate was founded in 1915 by William Randolph Hearst and Moses Koenigsberg.
