Kikkoman Company Description
Ubiquitous and indispensable, Kikkoman Corporation is in every Japanese pantry. Kikkoman's soy sauce is #1 in the world and supplier to the Japanese imperial household (whose batch is brewed separately). Beyond shoyu (soy sauce) the company's products include cooking sauces, sake, and wines. In Japan it sells ketchup, canned tomato products, and other Western foods under the Del Monte brand. The company also produces industrial-use enzymes and is a bottler and distributor of Coca-Cola products in Japan. Kikkoman's roots are deep -- it's more than 300 years old -- and is still controlled by descendants of its founding families.
