Kids Stuff Company Description
How better to sell upscale kids' stuff than by hitting their upper-income parents where they live? Kids Stuff sells products for children from prenatal to age six through its kidsstuff.com Web site and a trio of catalogs: Perfectly Safe (safety products), Jeannie's Kids Club (discounts up to 60% on toys and other items for an annual fee), and Natural Baby (breast-feeding, diapering, and wood and natural-fiber products). The company was founded by William and Jeanne Miller in 1987 when they acquired the mailing lists and inventory of a baby products catalog for $16,000. They took the company public in 1997; an investment group bought the assets of KidsStuff.com and made it private again in 2002.
