K-Sea GP Holdings Company Description
K-Sea GP Holdings helps transport the oil that makes the world go round. The company's assets consist of partnership interests in K-Sea Transportation Partners (KSP), which provides marine transportation and logistic services for petroleum products in the US. KSP has a fleet of more than 70 tank barges, some 60 tugboats, and one tanker. Operating with a more than 4 million-barrel capacity, it serves clients such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, Rio Energy, and ConocoPhillips. KSP generates the majority of its revenue through long term contracts of one year or more. In 2007 KSP transported about 140 million barrels of refined petroleum products to its customers.
