JR Simplot Company Description
J.R. Simplot hopes you'll have fries with that. Potato potentate J. R. "Jack" Simplot simply shook hands with McDonald's pioneer Ray Kroc in the mid-1960s, and his company's french fry sales have sizzled ever since. The company still remains the major french fry supplier for McDonald's and supplies Burger King, KFC, and Wendy's, as well. It produces more than 3 billion pounds of french fries and hash browns annually, making it one of the world's largest processors of frozen potatoes. The company sells its potato products mainly to foodservice customers under Simplot and private-label brands.
