Overview
JPMorgan Asset Management is no mutt. Tracing its roots to the 19th century, the JPMorgan Chase subsidiary was formed in 2001 after the former retail bank Chase Manhattan bought asset manager Robert Fleming Holdings in 2000, then merged with venerable investment bank J.P. Morgan the following year. JPMorgan Asset Management, which is active in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region, has more than $1 trillion of assets under management. Its offerings include investments in stocks, fixed-income securities, real estate, mutual funds, foreign currencies, hedge funds, private equity, and money market instruments.
