Overview
Named after the oddly monikered philanthropist Johns Hopkins, the Johns Hopkins Health System provides an array of health care services to Baltimore residents (and visitors from all over the world). The health system is an affiliate of world-renowned Johns Hopkins Medicine and includes five hospitals: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Bayview Medical Center, Howard County General Hospital, Sibley Memorial Hospital, and Suburban Hospital. The not-for-profit teaching hospitals offer inpatient and outpatient health services that include general medicine, emergency/trauma care, pediatrics, maternity care, senior care, and numerous specialized areas of medicine.
