Woolworths stores are snapped up in capital [Evening Standard, London](26 Nov 2009 23:59:00 EST)Nov. 26--Only five of the 46 Woolworths stores in London are still empty or unlet exactly a year after the High Street chain went bust. Almost half of the capital's stores have been snapped up by supermarkets including Iceland, Tesco and Waitrose. Another 38 percent have been taken by discount retailers such as 99p Stores.
