Overview
Jenny Craig would like for everyone to lighten up, at least a little. The weight-control company is one of the world's two largest diet firms (along with Weight Watchers). It owns or franchises about 650 centers in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Jenny's Cuisine prepared foods, along with DVDs, journals, CDs, workout accessories, and cookbooks, are sold to participants at its centers. The program is also available at home with telephone consultations and home delivery of food and support materials. Nestlé, the largest food and drink company in the world, acquired Jenny Craig for $600 million in June 2006. Jenny Craig's management team still runs the business.
